Amanda Wiater is a 2nd grade teacher at Richland Elementary in Quakertown, PA. She holds a BA in Elementary Education, an MA in Educational Development and Strategies, is LETRS trained, and will begin her Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction certification in the fall of 2023 at Lehigh University. She is currently working on writing the 2nd grade curriculum for her district. She is passionate about changing the course of early literacy through scientific, evidence-based practices. She enjoys incorporating morphology and etymology into lessons and is a huge supporter of content-rich curricula. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing students make connections across domains and facilitating their interest in science and history based topics. She loves sharing her knowledge of research based practices with colleagues and on Twitter!
