Hanna Poorman is a sixth-grade English Language Arts teacher at a public school in North Carolina. She is a National Board Certified teacher and a licensed K-12 Reading Specialist. She holds a Master’s degree in Learning and Instructional Design with an emphasis in Literacy as well as a license in K-12 English as a Second Language. Hanna believes it is never too late to change a student's reading story. She is passionate about ensuring that no adolescent falls through the cracks by meeting students where they are and providing individualized instruction, whether in foundational literacy or advanced reading and writing. When she is not nerding out about adolescent literacy, Hanna enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with her husband and son.
