Holly Price is a proud life long learner and lover of all things literacy.  She is currently a 1st grade teacher for Vacaville Unified School District in Solano County, California. She has over 20 years experience teaching Kindergarten through 3rd grade, reading intervention, and special education-including autism specific preschool.   Holly began her structured literacy journey by completing Elevate’s Science of Reading Academy. She is Orton Gillingham trained and is currently in LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training. A few years ago after making the shift from a balanced to a structured literacy approach, Holly began sharing what she was learning with other teachers at local staff development sessions and on social media.  She is passionate about creating engaging classrooms that support all learners.  She is also dedicated to implementing evidence based practices while helping other teachers along the way. In her spare time Holly enjoys hanging out with her 2 amazing kiddos, watching sports, taking walks, west coast swing dancing, and of course reading!
