Olivia Eastwood

Olivia Eastwood is a third-grade teacher at Oakdale Elementary in Dedham, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. In her third year of teaching, Olivia is dedicated to fostering literacy and student growth. She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Moderate Special Education, both from Boston College. To further specialize in reading instruction, she earned an Ed.S. in Reading Specialism from Gordon College, an IDA-accredited institution. Olivia's commitment to literacy is evident through her CERI certification and Orton-Gillingham Associate Level certification. This expertise drives her professional learning and active involvement in her school community. She serves as a PLC leader and is a member of several other committees, contributing collaboratively to student success initiatives. Outside of her professional life, Olivia enjoys running, utilizing gym facilities, and spending time with friends and family. An avid traveler, she has explored 23 countries and 25 states, embracing diverse experiences. Olivia aims to inspire her fellow educators to implement incremental changes, recognizing that even minor adjustments can significantly impact educational outcomes.
