Stephane Bolton

Stephane Bolton is a National Board Certified Teacher with over two decades of experience in early childhood education and literacy. She currently teaches first grade at Kilby Laboratory School, the only publicly funded laboratory school in Alabama, where she mentors preservice teachers through daily classroom observations and clinical experiences. Stephane holds Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, and Education Specialist degrees in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama, as well as certification in Instructional Leadership. She was part of the first cohort of Alabama educators trained in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) and has earned Mastery Certifications in both LETRS Elementary and Early Childhood. In the summer of 2024, Stephane discovered Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI). The training she completed was transformational, fundamentally shifting her understanding and approach to teaching reading, spelling, and writing using an integrated speech-to-print methodology. Inspired by the remarkable growth she’s seen through EBLI, Stephane opened a private learning center to support students across her community in building foundational literacy skills and confidence. She remains committed to continually expanding her knowledge and refining her practice to better meet the needs of every learner. Outside the classroom, Stephane hopes to write a children’s book one day and share stories that both entertain and empower young readers. Her passion for reaching and teaching people of all ages continues to grow and evolve.
