Victoria Ochoa Rodriguez
Victoria Ochoa Rodriguez is a dual language kindergarten teacher in Greeley, Colorado. She has her BA in Elementary Education and is currently taking classes for her master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education with a certificate in Bilingual Education. Victoria believes in the power of Dual Language education–the way it builds sociocultural competence, creates language opportunities, and empowers students to be bilingual and biliterate. She loves working with young learners because they are so excited about school and learning Spanish, and she gets to watch the tremendous growth they make in their first year of school. Their language and literacy development is astounding, and her instruction is deeply rooted in the Science of Reading with Marnie Ginsberg’s program Reading Simplified. When she is not teaching, Victoria does ballet with the Colorado Dance Collective and enjoys spending time with her baby niece and nephew.
